Okay, so we've been feeling a little smug in this part of the world. It was December and there had been no real snow in the region. Things have a way of evening out, don't they.

We're looking at 25 centimetres and more to come. For our American friends, that is over a foot of snow. It won't top for a while yet. Thank God for strong sons who like to shovel.

Here I am snug in my little house, gazing at this wonderland outside, feeling very relieved that there is nothing pressing on the agenda today. I know that in parts of the world this would be an impossible occurrence. In the desert, this would be a miracle. In the southern half of the world they are sunbathing and going swimming. My Australian friends have a BBQ at Christmas, while we are throwing more logs on the fire. What an amazing world we live in.

Our Creator loves diversity. We see this through weather patterns and people and creatures and geography. How many types of flowers are there? How many kinds of birds are there? How many shades of colours are there? How many kinds of... well, you get the idea.

How could we ever think that we all have to be one way or believe the same thing? Looking out the window suggests otherwise. Every snowflake falling is unique - and so are we. Today, I am going to enjoy looking out the window and reflecting on this visual lesson.

Enjoy your day, everybody! Celebrate who you are and embrace our diversity. We are all sparks of the One Light.
