You should read this about Ether's Inappropriate Actions:
I have had an Ether seller account since October 2006. Ether was fine until it was purchased by At & T. Since that time, (3 + years ago) I am unable to use or receive emails at Ether website.
Currently, I have not been able to access My Ether since November 9, 2011, I usually log in online and didn't think much of it since the ether website is always having problems and instead logged in via phone.
I wondered why I did not receive any client calls since I am always busy.
By Monday November 14, 2011 I called Ether and the rep said she could not get ino my ether either. She sent it off to the tech department. Today, 11/15 I received an email from Ether which stated"
"Regarding the error message your receiving when logging into your account we have verified what the issue is, please contact us so that we can further advise what the problem is. In order to give you the best Customer Support possible, we need you to call us directly at our toll free number, (800) 975-1379, as we need more information from you that cannot be obtained through email. Our Customer Phone Support is available Monday thru Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM PST."
I was left on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up, called back. Was told it was a technical issue with ether website by Josh and that there was an email conflict with Ingenio. I explained I did not have an Ingenio account. The only thought I had was that Ingenio and Keen had an interest in Ether when I first became an Ether seller back in 2006.
Ultimately Josh told me to go to Ingenio type in the alleged user name he gave me along with the password he gave me!
Once there, Ingenio site wanted my Drivers License number, my SS number, inter alia.
I explained to Josh that I already had been a victim of credit card theft and would not put in any such info.
I called again. This time John informed me to try omitting the Drivers License section and type in my EIN instead. It was accepted by Ingenio BUT said, I must wait 2 days to be authenticated by Ingenio in order to access myether!
Ether has my account suspended, I have lost a lot of money because of Ether's unlawful actions.
I asked for a supervisor...of course none was available.
Tomorrow I will be calling corporate headquaters in Glendale, California to speak to CEO David Krantz for AT & T Interactive which is the name of the company who owns Ether as conveyed to me by Josh.
Ether deliberately misled me and concealed pertinent facts from me further, Ether never notified me that my account was sent to their play fair department or why it was sent to the supposed play fair dept. When I asked what the play fair department was, I received no answer.
If anyone else has had this problem with ether please let me know since if ether does not restore me within 48 hours I plan to file for damages.
