    Re: Depression

Depression is not a sickness, it is a very easy thing to get out of it. It's just a matter of how it's taking us out for a little while outside. But life is going to be easy to understand. It's a simple thing to understand

I feel like depression isnt a sickness but more of a disease. I did not choose this life myself but in dealing with this most of my life I still choose everyday to bring myself out of it.

    Re: Depression

Keyyy, OMGosh, you ask such a hard question! It is a great question and everyone will have different views on this. Some people think it is a chemical imbalance and it can be treated with chemicals. Others think it is a behavior problem. Still others think it is demon possession. Others think that it is negative thinking. While others think it is sin. Still others think that depression occurs when we are not at a proper vibrational state. See? So many different opinions. And you know what they say about opinions! I found I had to decide what it was for me and go from there. When I got on meds for the RIGHT disorder it changed my life! Do I need the medication? Yes! Depression does not look good on me. :-/ Do I depend on the meds? Yes! Is my life better with the meds? Gosh, yes! I hope you get some good, and thoughtful answers. I wish you the best.

    Re: Depression

Depression is not a sickness, infact it is caused due to stress. When dopamine and serotonin secretion is unbalanced ,the sleeping patterns are changed and it leads to unhappiness. One can tackle depression by leading a healthy lifestyle like exercises and proper diet. While walking and exercising endorphins are released which are called happy hormones which boosts happiness which further leads to proper functioning of body.

    Re: Depression

Sadness, feeling down, having a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities - these are symptoms familiar to all of us. But, if they persist and affect our life substantially, it may be depression, and did you know that depression can affect people of all ages, races and socioeconomic classes, and can strike at any time. Scientists think that an imbalance in the brain's signaling chemicals may be responsible for the condition in many patients. However, there are several theories about what this imbalance actually is and which signaling chemicals are involved. Moreover, a variety of distressing life situations are also associated, including early childhood trauma, a job loss, the death of a loved one, financial troubles or a divorce..
Depression treatment may involve psychotherapy therapy, medications, or a combination of the two..
