Is blood really thicker than water??

I've been told that you get more help from friends than family and that you can depend on a stranger in some cases more than a loved one... Is it possible?? Could water actually be thicker than blood??

    I disagree.

My family have let me down majorly and certainly didn't have my back, quite the opposite!

I think it depends on your family. In my case, unfortunately yes water is thicker than blood. But my husband's family is totally different. For them blood is thicker.

Re: Is blood really thicker than water??

I agree with those who have learned that it depends on the family. My family teams up with the others. They are not to be trusted and they can't be depended upon for help. I let them take so many of my years because I thought that blood was thicker than water.

As a younger teen to adult I spent time helping, caring for the elders, trying to be nice, trying to fit in, helping my younger sister, brother. But at the end of the day I should have always looked out for myself because when I truly needed them I had NOBODY. I had some people that I met who helped me and were not family. but they always ask, "Where is your family?". I really don't like it when people say such things.

I don't know if many of you heard or know about Amanda Lucas who is a mixed Martial Arts fighter he father is George Lucas of the STAR WARS Empire. You can google search this. I was at an event and he was there to cheer on his daughter. But one would ask why would someone who is so famous allow his daugther to do Mixed Martial arts as a PROFESSION where she gets beat up and hurt? Many people didn't even believe it. They claimed that she was just a coincidence and that he has plenty of money and they didn't believe it. LOL.

Well she seems to love it but the reason why people get rich is so their kids will have an easier road right? I heard that he wanted them to blaze their own trails. Keep in mind they are adopted. My question is do people treat Adopted kids differently then their own blood? When I read the story I wondered if those were his own kids would he have allowed them to go off book as he has or would he have protected them more and put them in positions to follow in his footsteps.

Just google search Amanda Lucas Mixed Martial Arts Fighter George Lucas. Not everyone is aware of this but many people who lived On West Coast know about it and those who follow MMA. I'm not a big MMA follower I do like some of the Gladiator shows where they do the obstacle courses that are super complex it's fun to watch for sure.

So it depends on the family. It also depends on if the family 100% accepts you as their blood or as a "Do good" type of deal. Some family members feel they made money so you can do it to. I think that opportunities can present themselves but one has to be ready. Also right now it seems that EVERYTHING has been invented, Everything has been done. What is new on the horizon. But still room to improve much of the stuff that we depend on such as: Phones, technology, tv's, clothing, shoes, hair care products, laundry soaps, cars, homes, etc. You get the point. What is going to be the NEXT big thing that we've never seen nor heard of?

Do you have kids? What career choices would you:
    1. Approve
    2. Disapprove your kids to have

Would you treat your adopted kids the same as your own blood/dna created offspring? Why? Why not?

Just something to make you think. GREAT topic by the way.
